Manatee Watching

Laughing at a manatee pulling a tracking device. No idea why this is so funny, but it was very, very funny to Annada.
A couple of weeks ago we went with the Butchers to see the Manatees at Blue Springs. I love that park. It is so beautiful it almost feels like we left earth. The water is crystal blue-green, the trees are deep green and there are splashes of color from flowers and birds throughout.
Annada likes to “feed the manatees” leaves. Even with wildlife, she is a feeder!
We had a picnic and then wondered around.
Right before we left, we decided to go down to ramp and look again. We had not seen any manatees close up yet. The winter has been very warm, so they don’t need to cluster at the spring as much. As we stood there, a manatee swim right underneath us and stayed there! Then another one (they tend to be in pairs) that was under our feet swam out from the ramp. They just chilled out, blew bubbles and let us watch them.
