Mommy Daughter Date: Pottery
Last weekend (before Annada got sick) I decided to take Annada to paint Christmas ornaments. When we got there, I found out that the studio I choose distinguishes its self by having you make the products you paint. This was not an activity for a 2.5-year-old. For the first hour it was a lot of, “Annada, please wait. Not yet…”
She was a trooper though. When we finally got to the painting part, Annada was ready to go. All I did was hold the paint – Annada came up with all kinds of creative ideas. I wasn’t sure painting made up for the waiting, but when we left Annada asked to do pottery again.
Then we went to Panera for dinner. I love this stage. Annada sits or moves around and just talks and talks. We talk for an hour or two every day. She seems so happy to grab a snack or drink and tell me about everything from heaven to her favorite toys. Its wonderful!
